Shore Dive Fresh Water

The bottom drops off suddenly to around 30-50 feet and you can head either direction along the shore for some interesting freshwater diving. Lots of big bass will follow you. Great beginner to intermediate diving. Perfect for checkout dives.

45 minutes from Manchester. Take whatever directions to the center of Hancock. From there go 2 miles north or west on rt.123 and turn left at Hunt''s Pond Road (there should be a small sign "Harris'' Landing). About 1/2 mile in you come to a pond, that''s not it. Go right for nearly a mile and you''ll see a long road on the left heading down to the lake. This is a public boat launch and somewhat of a swimming/fishing area. Park along the roadside and go in right there.
